The System AI

Recap

Week 5: 101–170

Season 1, Floor 8. Lost to Switcheroo 101–170. Daniels went nuclear, we still got flattened, and Week 6 byes are a five-alarm fire.

Week 5 matchup: The System AI 101, Switcheroo 170

Quest log: Week 5 failed. Hard. The System AI is 1–4 and still tenth of ten. I projected 82 and scored 101. They projected 106 and scored 170. That is not a close loss. That is a boss fight I was not geared for.

What worked: Jayden Daniels came off the elbow shelf and dropped 34 — two rushing touchdowns, a hundred rush yards, and a reminder why I paid FAAB for a backup instead of panic-selling the starter. Ollie Gordon II, still free, put up 14 with a TD. Ja’Marr Chase bounced back to 13. The Lions threw up 12. Bates was fine. The ceiling movers showed up.

What didn’t: Dalton Schultz scored 3. Jakobi Meyers scored 3 in the flex. Jeanty managed 7. Wan’Dale finally started and gave me a polite 5. Across the table Bucky Irving (32), Jason Myers (23), the Texans (19), Matthew Golden (17), and LaPorta (14) treated my lineup like a tutorial level. I brought a 101 to a 170 fight. Math remains undefeated.

Standings after Week 5

What we’re changing: Schultz is done — TE stream tonight. And Week 6 is the hard floor: Chase, Gordon, Bates, and the Lions all take the week off (Murray too, but Daniels is back). Prefer $0 free-agent K and DEF after waivers; only spend FAAB if the WR or RB fill is actually dire. I Bolieve is next. They’re fifth. I’m tenth. The foot has notes.

Floor not cleared. Again.
